Owner of FIT4MOM SF Valley & NE LA. Certified Stroller Strides, Stroller Barre, Body Back, Run Club & Fit4Baby Instructor.
Shortly after the birth of my son, Jack in 2009 I became a FIT4MOM member and attended Stroller Strides classes regularly. After a little hiatus from classes, I returned with my 1 year old daughter, Stella. My experience with Stroller Strides inspired me, motivated me and gave me the opportunity to make some enduring friendships. Getting out into the sunshine and exercising with other moms in an environment without judgement, lots of laughter and of course, our kids has been life changing. The experience helped me to embrace my new identity as a mom without losing myself as an individual. Spending time with other moms, of all ages, from all backgrounds, showed me the true meaning of community. Because of this experience, it wasn't a hard decision for me to take over the franchise in the summer of 2014.
I've been there, and I know how hard it can be to get out of the house, to get off the sofa (even to shower, hello!) and put yourself out there. When a mom shows up to class for the first time, it's a victory and I am excited to have a chance to be there to congratulate you and introduce you and your children to a community of new friends. It’s been wonderful to watch you grow and to hear stories of success as you reach your fitness goals. FIT4MOM members inspire me on a daily basis!
It is our privilege to be able to bring you a fun calendar filled with Stroller Strides, Stroller Barre, FIT4MOM Run Club, Body Back, Fit4Baby & specialty classes. We have 3 incredible playgroup captains who put together Our Village playdates and crafts and we host a monthly Mom's Night Out. We are also proud to offer evening classes, early morning and Saturday classes for working mothers. We look forward to seeing you in class soon!more
Hi, I’m Alex! I’m the Director of Marketing and Community Outreach for FIT4MOM SF Valley & Northeast LA. I’m also a mom of two and a small business owner (www.paigegrae.com).
I signed up for my first Stroller Strides class in September 2017 after a friend told me about it and I am so glad that I did! Not only did I find the perfect workout that fit into my crazy schedule, but I also found a community of like-minded women that support each other.
As the Community Relations Director, I’m able to act as the bridge between FIT4MOM and the neighborhood and bring two things that I love together. Do you own a business or know of a small business that might benefit from a partnership? We'd love to hear about it! Email me at email@example.com with your ideas.more
Hi, I’m Denise! I am a certified Stroller Strides and Fit4Baby instructor and all around fitness enthusiast. I discovered FIT4MOM when I saw a group of moms working out in the park near my house soon after I had my son, Oliver (born June of 2016). After some Googling, I found my way into the Sherman Oaks Stroller Strides class! I loved that Stroller Strides was so much more than a workout; it's also a great way to meet other moms in my area and be part of a supportive community. After attending classes for about 6 months, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to become an instructor. I love teaching fun, challenging and ever-changing workouts to my fellow mommas!
Hi, I’m Libby! I’m a certified Stroller Strides and Run Club Instructor in Highland Park and Silverlake.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I spent my childhood in Mt. Washington and my high school years in Culver City and Woodland Hills before making it back to NELA about 10 years ago. I married my husband in 2014 and in October 2017 we welcomed our baby girl Maude.
I started swimming competitively on a team at 7 years old and swam all though high school. I spent my high school and college years working as a Lifeguard and swim instructor. Post-college I became more interested in fitness to balance out all the sitting I was doing at my e-commerce/desk job. I ran my first 5K in 2013 followed by my first half marathon in 2014. I’ve since run 5 half marathons!
I discovered FIT4MOM in the early weeks of new motherhood as my cabin fever had already set in. I counted the days until my 6 week postpartum check up and took my first Stroller Strides class the day after I hit 6 weeks! I felt uncomfortable in my new post-baby body, but attended classes 3 days a week. As I gradually gained back my strength I also gained back my confidence and started chatting with other mamas more each week. I have had such a positive experience both physically and mentally, that I decided to become an instructor and help other new mamas get the same amazing experience that I’ve had!more
I’m Luciana, the Playgroup Captain for Silver Lake and Glendale. My love for crafts has been passed down to me from my grandma who used to own a craft store and would teach me different techniques to use on school projects, I’m so glad to be able to share these ideas with you! I’ve been working out with Fit4Mom SFV & NELA for a year now and I’m glad to be able to give back to a community that has provided so much balance to my experience of motherhood.more
Hi! I'm Patty. I am a certified Stroller Strides, Stroller Barre and Fit4Baby instructor and I am the Client Services Manger for FIT4MOM SF Valley & Northeast LA. I teach at our Sherman Oaks and Burbank locations.
I am mom to my son Owen, born May 2013 ;and my son Ryder, born in July 2016. We moved back to LA in 2014 after 6 years in Las Vegas where I was an Elementary teacher. I have been going to the gym regularly for over 10 years. I love lifting weights, yoga, and spin classes. Prior to gym workouts I was an avid dancer and even began college as a dance major but quickly decided my heart was with children.
I began my FIT4MOM journey when Kat stopped me at VNSO and gave me a flyer. I was so excited because I needed something to kick my butt back into shape and being a stay at home mom was getting very lonely. Fitness is so important to me and I want to make sure that my sons see how important it is from a young age. I am so excited to be a Stroller Strides Instructor and help other moms feel good in their bodies and live a happy healthy lifestyle.
Hi, I'm Rhiannon! I'm a certified Stroller Strides and Fit4Baby instructor.
I found Stroller Strides after moving across country for my husband’s job. I knew I needed to find something not only to help with this new transition, but to help me find strength in this new mommy body of mine. Recovering from pregnancy and labor was a lot harder than expected and after having spent years as a dancer, my body didn’t feel like mine.
At my first class, I was a little overwhelmed and scared, but the instructor had my back and really supported me and believed in me. She kept asking when I would be back, so I kept coming back. I started at one day a week, then two, then three and in no time I was coming every day! I loved seeing my friends and I know my little Liam loved hanging out with his buddies too. Pretty soon I was so much stronger that I was able to do things I couldn’t do months before, and then doing things I never dreamed of doing!
It takes a village and my mommy tribe keeps me going every day! I’m so excited to be teaching Stroller Strides and to be a part of your mommy tribe. I wouldn’t be here without the love and support of this community and I can’t wait to be a part of your support system and help you on your journey! Lets do this Mama!!!
Hi, I'm Robin and I'm a certified Body Back instructor in Sherman Oaks. I’m mama to Molly (5) and Colin (2). I first found FIT4MOM
when I moved to LA from the Bay Area. I was looking for a group where I could meet new mom friends. The only groups I could find were focused on the first time mom and my kids were 4 and 1! Eventually, I found FIT4MOM and I found an amazing
tribe of women who I look forward to seeing each week. I’m so thankful that I didn’t find just any mother’s club, because when I found FIT4MOM, I also found a way
back to my former much more fit self.
I was a Stroller Strides mama first, but then I decided to also sign up for Body Back Transformation. Taking the Body Back journey as a client was truly life changing for me and my family. With some direction and guidance, I found ways to make fitness and healthy eating a lifestyle. I’m so excited to have been given the opportunity to share what I’ve learned and to help inspire more mamas to make the same changes in their lives too.
A little more about me: I’m a Midwest girl who moved to CA from St Louis Mo almost 5 years ago, and came to LA about a year ago. I really enjoy reading any kind of book and I love going for distance runs without the stroller from time to time. My husband and I are big St Louis Cardinals fans and we love watching baseball especially when the playoffs start!
Hi, I’m Shelley! I’m a lover of Laverne and Shirley, spaghetti and meatballs, and all things dangerous. Mom to Ean Hemingway 15 months, step mom to Violet 15, and wife to Grant, my old punk rocker.
Hi, I’m Xuan! I’m a certified Stroller Strides and Fit4Baby instructor in Silver Lake and Glendale.
I'm originally from Boston, Massachusetts. I moved to LA back in 2006 after I finished college and got a BS in Fashion and Manufacturing. I met my husband in 2008 and got married in 2014. We welcomed our baby boy Walker in 2016 and he changed my life (for the better) forever.
As someone who has always been career oriented, I found myself in unfamiliar territory when I became a SAHM. I felt like I lost my identity. I was no longer the fashion designer, the social butterfly or the carefree spontaneous girl. I felt detached from my friends because they didn't understand why I couldn't meet up for drinks and dinner at 8:00pm. I felt alone.
I found out about Stroller Strides through a friend who wanted to check out a free class and urged me to join her. After my first class, I was hooked. I loved exercising and now I was able to do it with my baby but the free class I took was 3 cities over and I didn't know if that was worth it for me. Luckily, Marissa, a fellow mommy at a Walker's play group, told me how there was a Stroller Strides basically right in my back yard and that she was also an instructor. I was sold. I signed up the next day and the rest is history.
That was almost a year ago and now I am a certified instructor. That goes to show that not only do I think FIT4MOM is a great program but I whole heartedly believe in what they stand for. This is a community that I am proud to be a part of.
