AUGUST: Rachel Koenig

It's mom of the month time!

We are celebrating the lovely Rachel for the month of August. Rachel has been with Fit4Mom since 2020 with her first pregnancy. She has stuck with us through Zoom classes, Fit4Baby, Strides360 and beyond. Her smile is infectious and she is always doing each challenge with her little in tow.

We love seeing your family grow, Rachel, and can't wait to meet your new addition!

What’s your full name? Introduce your Fam. I’m Rachel Koenig and I have my husband Eric and my daughter Dakota is 2 and I am 6 months pregnant with a baby boy!

Favorite drink? Rosé which I miss a lot right now lol

Snack? Anything sweet! Right now lots of fruit and always cookies and ice cream

Where do you like to shop? H&M, Gap and Old Navy

Favorite place you’ve traveled to? Indonesia

Favorite Book I should read more!

Hobby? Knitting

Something unique about yourself. I’m the only redhead in my family.

Favorite movie or show. Below Deck

Craziest thing you’ve ever done. 5 day hike through the Guatemalan jungle to the El Mirador ruins.

Your idea of a perfect vacation. Start with some adventure stuff and end relaxing on the beach. With my kids!

How long have you been with fit4mom? Fave thing about Fit4Mom? Since September 2020 when I did Fit4baby on zoom while pregnant with my daughter. I love being able to bring her with me to strides 360 now! Also love being around other moms who are going through the same life changes.

When is your birthday? December 10

Do you speak more than one language? Some Spanish but not really.

Favorite color? Green

Most challenging part of this year for you? First I got COVID at 8 weeks pregnant, then I got appendicitis at 15 weeks pregnant and had to have emergency surgery to take it out, all while chasing a toddler around.

What are you most proud of about yourself while facing the challenges of this year? I’m proud of myself for staying strong but I’m mostly proud of and grateful for my husband who stepped up and not only took care of me but did an amazing job basically solo parenting during my recovery. I couldn’t have done it without his support!
